The next generation
of distributed
optical fiber sensing
About the project
GO-SENS is a three-year long project where seven partner are collaborating on the development of next generation solutions within distributed optical fiber sensing (DOFS) for real-time monitoring of the well-being of high-voltage power cables.
Serving better technology
With a Brillouin-based DOFS for long range, strain- and temperature monitoring we’re going to develop these technology to the next generation. These measurements are of great value for diverse field applications such as ensuring the structural health of gas pipelines or assessing the operating conditions of high-voltage transmission lines, all of which have a common need for large monitoring distances.
Long Distance Sensing
Long-range distributed optical-sensing solutions
to accommodate the need for monitoring international
subsea high-voltage power cables.
Temperature Strain Sensing
Optical sensing solution that enable
discrimination of temperature hotspots
and local mechanical straining.

Concrete Monitoring Through Fiber Optic Technology
In the dynamic world of construction and infrastructure development, innovation often emerges from the most unexpected places. The GO-SENS project, a collaborative effort between seven partners with a mission to pioneer next-generation solutions in distributed optical fiber sensing (DOFS) for high-voltage power cable monitoring, is a testament to this pursuit of cutting-edge technology. Among the project's participants, Maturix, a pioneering Danish company, recently conducted a groundbreaking test involving fiber optic technology.
